🇺🇦 A distinctive 3D-printed replica of the Azov emblem, presented in an olive-green shield design.
The raised angular symbol sits within a double border, with recessed areas creating depth and definition. Fine print lines remain visible across the surface, giving the piece its characteristic 3D-printed texture.
📖 A little history
Azov began as a Ukrainian volunteer battalion in 2014, fighting Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine. It was incorporated into Ukraine’s National Guard later that year and subsequently developed into the 12th Special Forces Brigade “Azov.”
In 2022, Azov fighters served alongside other Ukrainian units in the defence of Mariupol, including the prolonged resistance at the Azovstal steelworks. Their role brought the unit international recognition, and many defenders subsequently entered Russian captivity.
Azov’s history also includes controversial far-right origins. The modern brigade rejects extremist affiliations and operates within Ukraine’s National Guard; its military history should be distinguished from the broader political movement associated with the Azov name.

🖨️ A thought from Elliott, UUKA’s founder: “I’ve noticed pieces like these becoming more common. My theory is that Ukrainian units may be printing emblems as test pieces while setting up or checking their 3D printers. It’s an interesting possible explanation, although we haven’t confirmed that this is how this particular piece came to be.”
An interesting display piece for collectors of contemporary Ukrainian military memorabilia and insignia.
