The drone imagery reflects the growing importance of engineering and unmanned technology in Ukraine’s defence. From early volunteer groups using commercial drones, Ukrainian drone operations have developed into dedicated reconnaissance and strike formations. In 2024, Ukraine established its separate Unmanned Systems Forces, reflecting the expanding role of these technologies.
