Genuine Certified Artwork painted Shell Case "Cotton"

We bring a lot of beautiful artworks back from Ukraine, but it is not often we are offered something this special. 

This shell is catalogued by the National Unit of Artists of Ukraine and considered a valuable part of Ukrainian culture. This has been legally exported out of Ukraine and we have the paperwork to prove it!

This shell has been given permission to leave Ukraine and find a home somewhere else in the world.

The origin of the shell is unknown, but they are believed to have come from the Donetsk oblast.

This item is hand painted by Olga Pogrebnaia, a well known artist and painter in Ukraine. She is also a passionate volunteer and supporter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, raising money to weave the camouflage nets we talk so much about. 

She also paints portraits of soldiers some of whom our friend Kristina knows, She also painted the portrait of Kristina that she uses on Social Media.

These are Kristina’s words to describe these items.

“Shells are taken from Donetsk oblast. No good story behind, and unfortunately it’s gonna be not right to invent one. 

But as for the paintings, they were made by an artist Olga Pogrebnaia, she is a part of National Unit of Artists of Ukraine, official entity which unites artist whose works are in the official catalogues and counted kind of national dignity  She made my portrait, btw, which you see as my profile picture. This portrait is also in the catalogue so anyone can buy it from abroad 😅 Olga is a volunteer for a long time. She raised money and help for military of a huuuge amount. She also organizes mask nets for us for a long time. She has series of portraits of my friends and other soldiers who take or took pat in this war. Some of them are not alive unfortunately, some of them are seriously injured, some of them are still standing Olga is a nationalist, support national movement in Odessa, where unfortunately lots of people are exposed by enemy propaganda. She is an activist and an important person on an artist scene of Ukraine”
