This substantial composite fragment has been identified as the lower vertical stabiliser from a Russian Geran-2 attack drone, the Russian-produced development of the Iranian Shahed-136.
The stabiliser retains part of its original black outer skin, exposed woven composite construction and extensive impact damage. Large areas have been torn open, revealing the layered carbon- or glass-fibre material used in its manufacture. Most importantly, the surface retains the original yellow-stencilled “ГЕРАНЬ-2” (“GERAN-2”) designation, together with a partially preserved “M7…” identification marking.
It measures approximately 35 cm × 31 cm, with a diagonal measurement of approximately 47 cm. Its size, recognisable shape and surviving factory-applied markings make this a particularly striking display piece.
Provenance
The Ukrainian-language provenance label attached to the reverse identifies the item as:
“Fragment from the Geran-2 UAV. Found in the forested areas of the Biloberezke Forestry, Ivankiv Forestry District, near the village of Rokytna Sloboda, Vyshhorod Raion — Spring 2025.”
The fragment was subsequently brought from Ukraine to the United Kingdom in support of the humanitarian work of Ukraine UK Aid.
Condition
This is an authentic, crash-recovered wartime object—not a replica or reproduction. It remains in heavily damaged and unrestored condition, with broken composite material, abrasion, staining, loose fibres and rough or sharp edges. Its weathering and damage form an important part of its history and appearance.
The item is offered solely as an inert historical display piece. It contains no known explosive or operational components.
Important handling warning
Please do not handle the exposed damaged areas with bare hands. The broken composite construction produces loose, sharp fibres that may irritate or penetrate the skin. Gloves should be worn whenever the item must be moved. For long-term display, mounting it behind glazing or inside a suitable case is strongly recommended.
Location and delivery
This item is already located in the United Kingdom and is ready for prompt dispatch. Obtaining and exporting substantial battlefield-recovered objects from Ukraine is becoming increasingly difficult; purchasing from established UK stock avoids the uncertainty of arranging their export directly from Ukraine.
Tracked international shipping may be available, subject to destination-country laws, carrier restrictions and customs requirements. Please contact us before purchasing if delivery outside the United Kingdom is required.
All proceeds support the continuing humanitarian work of Ukraine UK Aid.
