Russian Warship Sinking Morale Patch

Moskva sank in April 2022 following a Ukrainian Neptune missile strike, marking a major, embarrassing naval loss for Russia. Multiple other vessels, including the Sergei Kotov (March 2024) and Ivanovets, have been destroyed by Ukrainian sea drones. 

• Moskva (April 2022): The 12,000-ton cruiser was hit by Neptune missiles, causing an explosion and subsequent sinking while under tow. A 2026 report confirmed a Russian military court acknowledged the Ukrainian missile strike caused the sinking.
