42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade Patch

This patch belongs to the 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade (42 OMBr) of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. 

Patch Details and Symbolism

Unit Identification: The brigade was formed in late 2022 to early 2023 as part of Ukraine's military expansion and has been active in combat operations on the southern front, including the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions.

Motto: The inscription at the top, "ДОБЛЕСТЮ ТА ЗБРОЄЮ", translates from Ukrainian as "By Valor and Weapons" (or "With Valor and Arms").

Visual Imagery: The central emblem features a stylized ancient helmet (resembling a Spartan or Corinthian style) flanked by two crossed battle-axes (halberds) and wings. These symbols typically represent strength, combat readiness, and a warrior spirit.

The blue and black background colors are consistent with the brigade's established insignia.
