Unit Origin: The brigade was officially formed in late 2022, primarily based on the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps (DUK), which was the paramilitary arm of the "Right Sector".

Symbolism: The olive green shield features a central dagger flanked by two rifles. This specific design is a tribute to its roots, representing the transition of volunteer fighters into a formal military unit.

Role: It serves as a mechanized infantry unit.

Combat History: The brigade has been heavily involved in significant engagements of the Russo-Ukrainian War, including the battles of Bakhmut and Soledar.

Motto: Their associated slogan, often linked with this return to original insignia, translates roughly to "those who forget their past are not worthy of the future".
