Worn National Guard of Ukraine Patch

This patch was donated to us by Olena during our January 2026 mission. It will have been donated by a serving member of the Armed Forces.

This patch is the official insignia of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU). The text reads "НАЦІОНАЛЬНА ГВАРДІЯ УКРАЇНИ". (National Guard of Ukraine)

Symbolism and Unit Information

Central Emblem: The design is a variation of the Cross of the National Guard of Ukraine, which incorporates the Ukrainian coat of arms (Tryzub or trident) in the center.

Flame and Star: The flaming torch represents the honor and glory of the military service, while the star often symbolizes guidance and reliability.

NGU Role: The National Guard of Ukraine is a military formation with law enforcement functions under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Its primary responsibilities include maintaining public order, protecting critical infrastructure, and participating in combat operations alongside the Armed Forces of Ukraine during wartime.
