Worn Saint Javelin Volunteer Patch

This patch was given to us by Olena during our January 2026 Mission. 

This image is a "Saint Javelin" volunteer morale patch, a widely recognized symbol of Ukrainian resistance against the 2022 Russian invasion. The text translates to "VOLUNTEER" (Волонтер) and "WE WILL FIND EVERYTHING FOR UKRAINE" (Ми все знайдемо для України). 

Symbolism

"Saint Javelin": The figure is an internet meme and fictional character based on an adaptation of the "Madonna Kalashnikov" painting by U.S. artist Chris Shaw. It depicts a saint-like figure (often associated with the Virgin Mary) cradling an FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile system, a powerful U.S.-made weapon donated to Ukraine.

Resistance and Morale: The image quickly gained iconic status, boosting morale among Ukrainian forces and becoming a global symbol of support for Ukraine's defense.

Fundraising: The original meme was created by Ukrainian-Canadian journalist Christian Borys to raise funds for humanitarian aid and has since evolved into a global brand that has raised millions for Ukrainian charities.
